Vegas Top Tips
Tips for the Vegas Virgin
1. If its your first time in Las Vegas, stay on the Strip, if you’ve been before you’ll know why. You'll want to check out all those fabulous casinos, and it's much easier to get started if you're already in the middle of the action.
2. A really smart way to get your bearings on the Strip is to hop a ride on the Las Vegas Monorail, which runs along the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard with nine stops along the way.
3. Cab fare between casinos on the strip and off for that matter can add up fast. some alternatives include the Strip shuttle or the CAT bus. Most hotels offer free shuttle transportation to other venues. Whilst it will save you money it is a roundabout way of getting around
4. If you're taking a cab from one end of the Strip to the other and it’s busy, tell the driver to take the Industrial Road shortcut. It runs parallel to the Strip not only will it save you time and money, you will impress the driver with your local knowledge.
5. Always make dinner reservations. The best restaurants in town in all likelihood will not have any tables available for walk-ins before 9:30 PM. People do dine early in Vegas.
6. If a trip to the spa is on your to-do list (and you know it is!), do your research. There are so many spas on the Strip, each with a different vibe and various specialty treatments, that you are sure to find the perfect one for you.
7. In warmer months book a hotel with a good pool scene (Hard Rock, the Palms, Mandalay Bay, Wynn, or Bellagio). Cabana rentals are a fabulous way to while away the day, but if you want to keep costs down and actually nab a lounge chair, you will need to get outside early
